This is an annual marathon organized by Tusk and supported by Safaricom mobile provider. It is schedules for JUNE each year at Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, 140 miles north of Nairobi. The 13th Safaricom Marathon and Half Marathon will be in June 2012 on a date to be announced. The last event hosted hundreds of participants from many countries. This Marathon is regarded as the toughest world over and boasts of opportunities to run with wild animals while enjoying great sceneries including a majestic view of Mt Kenya in the backdrop.
