Having
just completed a trip with culture links I must recommend them for an
adventure of a lifetime. William and his team provide a boutique Eco
solution tailor-made to your requirements and with the flexibility of being
able to make alterations whilst in the bush. I embarked on a trekking trip
with magnificent views as we crossed the great rift valley passing through
herds of wilder beast, zebra, gazelle and many magnificent birds including
the bustard. Our Masai guide informed us about the fauna and the many uses
for it in the bush . William has an eye for spotting wildlife and it was in
the Masai mara early one morning he spotted a couple of cheaters who were
more than happy for us to watch them until other spotters arrived. It was a
truly remarkable experience with each day being very different and the cook
continuing to surprise us with the quality and variety of food he served up
. Many thanks to William and his team.".......francis, uk

lions....).

your beautiful country for a safari we will again send you a mail.

comments on the wonderful trek in Loita Hills
Dear William,
Many thanks again for a
wonderful and most memorable Loita Hills trek. Michael and I have wanted to
sit down together to write to you with our comments on the trip, but rather
than wait until I return to London I thought I'd send you a quick email of
my own.
In every way, for me, the
excursion was an incredible introduction to Kenya
and for Michael I know it
was a fantastic way to come to know a part of his country he'd not yet
experienced before.
The group you organised
was such wonderful company on the four days. Everyone was most considerate,
welcoming and hospitable and the conversations around the bonfire and
during the relaxing breaks were terrific.
Your planning left
nothing to be desired, except of course we wish we'd had more time! The
accommodations were very comfortable - I've never before been on such a serious
and rugged extended hike with so many luxuries. Throughout our email
correspondence prior to the trip you gave us a very honest and realistic
view of what to expect, though I have to say the beauty I encountered was
beyond all possible expectations.
In particular, thank you
for your flexibility in scheduling and customising the trek for us, not
only did you make it possible for me to participate in convalescence,
whilst providing the rugged trek we’d hoped for, but you also catered to me
as a vegetarian without Michael feeling left out as a true omnivore - the
food was fresh and delicious and every single meal during the four days was
a different menu! David's cooking was excellent.
If anyone would like a
personal recommendation please feel free to put them in touch with us at
lariosbogecho@mac.com
.... my only hesitation to spreading the word about you and your work would
be that I'd worry you might be fully booked up the next time we?re in Kenya
!
All the very best wishes,
Mariana (& Michael)

Hi William,
Thank you for your
emails. I am sorry not to have responded before but we have been very busy
over Christmas.
Mike and I had a
fantastic time in Kenya , and really enjoyed our Safari with you. It was
exactly the sort of trip we had hoped for, and I dont think we have any
criticism that would be helpful for you!
Please convey our good
wishes to the whole team, and remember us to the villages we passed
through, in particular Ndutu.
I hope we get the
opportunity to came back and have another walking trip with you.
best wishes
Steve and Mike

Kenya
Dear William,
I got home safe and
started working right away. It was nice to be with my family again. I
showed them all the nice fotos and told them everything you taught me about
Kenia and its nature and people. Thank you for a very special time, Freya
Here is my comment for
your page (if you need it, I can translate it into German also): William
and his crew took me to Hell's Gate because I wanted to go hiking. The
scenery is spectacular and Wiliams knowledge of Kenia and its people, of
plants and animals, of geography and geology of that vulcanic region is
amazing. For me it was also very interesting and fun to recieve
ethnological information about african tribes, riddles, stories and jokes.
Concerning the rest of the crew: Our driver was very experienced and drove
safely. The cook prepared delicious local food with ingredients fresh from
the market. At night they lit a comfortable bondfire and there was even a
challenging scrabble-game. I can really recomend all of them!
Freya,
German

Mt. Kenya trekking
This year I had the
chance to realize a dream I had already for a long time: to climb up the
Mt. Kenya !
And indeed it was like a
dream: a wonderful, amazing vegetation I've never experienced in other
mountainous regions before, a quietness and loneliness in pure nature where
you meet other persons just in the huts during the night and I must say, I
was even surprised how easy it is to reach the altitude of 5000m with no
physical problems at all. (My tactic: an extra day at Shipton's camp,
drinking a lot of water between the meals and to walk so slowly that you
always enjoy your hike.) A little hint to be aware of: In Europe the
mountain huts can be heated up with wood, the huts in the National Park of
Mount Kenya not!
Therefore, take a warm
sleeping bag with you!!!
Another marvelous thing
which I have to mention was the food. Yes, the food! As a housewife I
appreciated the wonderful cooking very much (starter, soup, main-dish,
fruits) and I even gained weight on a mountain trip!
Summarizing I have to say
it was an outstanding experience for me and CultureLinkSafaris puts into
reality what its name stands for: links cultures together! William not only
told me many interesting things about wildlife, nature and Kenyan culture,
he was also the only guide in the huts who socialized with the customers
for chatting, playing cards or whatever. This approach and the knowing that
local people are benefiting from this ecotourism gives you the good feeling
you need if you travel in Africa .
Thanks very much,
Williams, for this unforgettable week! I hope I can come again with my kids
for a safari-adventure!

Hello William,
thanks for wishing us the
best here in our fall with already chilly temperatures and often fog, which
sometimes remains the whole day.
Seen from far:
I appreciated very much the
personal approach that you and the other guides you have chosen had to us
as a group and to me in person. You have been flexible and have been able
to make arrangements for our wishes.

Jambo, William.
Our return was safe and
comfortable, just very tiring by the time we reached New Delhi . The first
thing we did was to give the film for processing and then download the
digital pictures, and spent the evening going over them!
Our trip to East Africa
was perfect. It was the realisation of a long-standing desire for both of
us. When you have been looking forward to something for years you build it
up so much in your mind that in the end it is a little disappointing. But
this experience was everything we imagined and more. Your organisation of
the trip was not only efficient, it was so thoughtful too. I do believe
Africa will find us returning.
One of the best things
about visiting Africa was meeting you. We enjoyed your company and your
friendship, and we felt the same way you did. I am sure God will bring us
together again. Meanwhile, do keep in touch and do plan that trip for
Northern Kenya and for Mombasa/Zanzibar....
